Speaking & Listening: Improve your conversational skills and pronunciation through interactive exercises and real-life scenarios.
Reading & Writing: Expand your vocabulary, strengthen your grammar, and learn to communicate effectively in both formal and informal contexts.
Grammar & Vocabulary: Gain a deeper understanding of English grammar and increase your word power to express yourself confidently.
Cultural Insights: Learn about English-speaking cultures to enhance your communication in a global environment.
Tailored to Your Level: Upon your arrival in Ireland and at ICOT College, you’ll take a placement test aligned with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) to determine your starting level. The placement test consists of grammar, writing, listening, and speaking sections. The grammar and writing portions are completed online first, followed by a face to face interview or Zoom interview to assess listening and speaking skills. You will be placed in a CEFR level based on your assessed proficiency. Classes start every Monday on a continuous enrollment basis. There is no time limit on how long you should stay in a level, your teacher will be closely monitoring your progress and once you are ready, you will be advanced to the next level. Weekly progress tests and monitoring from teachers will help you develop your skills.

Where possible, we plan our classes based on the needs of our students and aim to develop an atmosphere of learning by the use of a communicative and collaborative methodology. Our classes are interactive, where students work together to develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. We believe it is important to incorporate 21st-century skills to aid in student development so we foster an environment of innovative thinking through think-pair-share activities, peer-teaching, and debate in order to inspire confidence and aid in fluency.
