Make a difference in someone’s life

Have you ever thought about how you could change someone’s life? Maybe with some good advice or just listening to someone who needs to talk about their problems. Or, who knows, a big hug can also make a big difference in the life of some person.

But have you ever thought how you could change the life of a person you have never met before?

Well, before you answer that, let me tell you a little story: According to the UNICEF website, after three years of conflict in Yemen, health systems are collapsing, medicine, clean water and food are all in short supply. Only last year, more than 3 million people X lost their homes.

Now, can you imagine how that must be affecting the kids? Here are some facts about what is happening to them over there:

  • More than 400,000 children in Yemen are suffering from severe acute malnutrition and urgently need life-saving food to survive;
  • 80% are younger kids;
  • More than 50,000 children died from this AWFUL situation during 2017. THAT is 130 children dying per day.

Aren’t those sad numbers?

But what if I told you that you can make a difference in their lives? Actually, we all can. And we should! On the www.unicef.ie website, you can find ways to help YEMENI children and also people in need from other places.
