Dundrum Town Centre is set to shine even brighter this month with the fantastically beautiful and very “instagrammable” installation of light and art.
The Festival of Light arrives on Friday, March 22 and will be there until Sunday, March 31 open daily from 6pm-10pm.
The breathtaking experience will transform Dundrum Town Square into a dazzling, multi-sensory experience with a series of three interactive light installations designed to surprise and delight visitors, who are free to interact, play and photograph the installations.
The best part is that there is a chance of winning a €1,000 Dundrum Town Centre Gift Card.
Anyone who shares their photos from the Festival of Light on Instagram using the #DundrumFOL will be in with the chance to win.
To celebrate the arrival of the installation, Dundrum Town Centre is hosting a celebrity battle on Friday, March 22 at 6.30pm to kick off the festival in style.
The event will be centred around the Lightbattle X installation, which consists of two sets of five bicycles facing each other, where pedal power fuels beams of light.
Marty Guilfoyle, radio personality, will MC a series of light battles on the night, led with a surprise celebrity battle.
Aside from the Lightbattle X piece, the festival installations include Wave which consists of some 500 individual suspended orbs, brought to life through light and sound to create a walkthrough immersive experience reminiscent of the ocean and Control No Control which is an interactive LED sculpture that invites the audience to use their hands and body to act on its sound and graphics.
